N4m relief for 150 Anioma residents

ASABA—The Organisation for the Advancement of Anioma Culture, OFAAC, the cultural platform for Anioma people, has disbursed over N4million in micro credit to some indigenes of Anioma. This year’s disbursement was unique as over 150 beneficiaries benefited in cash, motor cycles, farm implements, and other materials in a colourful ceremony at the Orchid Hotels, Asaba, Delta State.

The event was witnessed by prominent Anioma sons, daughters and traditional rulers amongst who were the oldest reigning monarch in Africa, HRH Obi James Anyasi II, the Obi Of Idumuje-Unor, H.R.H Obi Vincent Nmor, the Obi of Ugili-Amai, H.R.H Obi Ifeanyichukwu Alekwe II, JP, the Obi of Mbiri, HRH Obi Henry Kikachukwu, JP, the Obi of Ubulu-Unor, Chief Iloba, JP Olikeze of Asaba, representative of the Asagba of Asaba. HRH Obi Godwin Onyeweuwa, JP, the Obi of Ewulu. Mr.Kester Ifeadi, the President of OFAAC in his speech said that the micro credit scheme is a strategic effort by the organisation aimed at empowering the poor and less privileged in Anioma land by supporting them with micro-credits to boost their businesses at the grassroot.
